:-( DEPRESSION? or PROLONGED DEMOTIVATION?

Don’t grieve over what happened, don’t agonize over what didn’t happen, just live in the moment .
不为已经发生的事而悲伤,也不为没发生的事而苦恼,活在当下就好。

有道quote of the day

Hello! 你好!HAPPY New month. It’s July already!! The first day of the second half of the year. I wish you happiness today and all the days of your life.

I would love to hear your answer to the question below.

Do people discuss their sadness?

In my opinion, most people would rather keep their not so happy moments to themselves.

I see quite a number of faces daily, happy, sad, welcoming, not so welcoming etc. For me a happy face won’t linger much in my mind, but a sad one will stick for long. I will keep wondering what would have happened if I said hi to the stranger and maybe try and cheer them up.

I thought about putting up this post a couple of weeks ago but that very familiar voice whispered in my ear with convincing arguments on why I shouldn’t write. Long story short, procrastination won! but today seems to be the perfect moment considering I have typed this far.

Whether you are the type to look for someone to cheer you up when you feeling low or you’re the type who will rush to a corner seat and drown your sad feelings in a plate of cheese fries, ask yourself, “why am I feeling this way?” Finding the root cause of your grumpy face will go along way in dealing with depression.

Kindly remember; BEING UNHAPPY IS NOT THE SAME AS BEING DEPRESSED.

I believe that the many cases of suicide in our society is somehow an indicator that so many people are silently dealing with depression. These battles overwhelm them at some point and they decide ‘enough is enough’ They look for ways to find some peace of mind.

I honestly did not know how to tell when someone is depressed. I literally searched the internet to find the signs and symptoms of depression and I will share them with you. Having an idea of what depression looks like will probably help us help someone in need. My advice, if you have a feeling you might be depressed, kindly seek help from a mental health professional.
